Donation Focus Areas

Each funding request must fall into at least one of the following four focus areas. These areas are: growing the next generation by helping youth grow in mind, body and spirit; caring for our environment; building stronger communities through civic, arts & cultural activities and helping those in need. We believe these four areas enrich our communities and encourage personal growth.

YOUTH:
Agrium encourages and supports programs that help youth reach their full potential. We believe that confident, capable and educated young people are better equipped to face the challenges of the future. We know that by investing in youth today, we are safeguarding healthy communities tomorrow.

ENVIRONMENT:
At work and at play we all share the environment. Agrium continually works to minimize its negative impact on the environment and increase its positive impact. Support in this area may come in the form of funding projects that focus on environmental protection or in educating others to steward the environment.

CIVIC, ARTS & CULTURE:
Agrium understands that participation in civic events, arts and cultural activities contributes to personal growth and helps people lead more satisfying lives. Many of Agrium’s offices and facilities are in rural locations and these programs are highly valued by the residents of our communities. As each community is different, the programs we support are unique to that region.

HEALTH & WELLNESS:
Agrium partners with local communities to support health and wellness service providers through education, research and the provision of emergency equipment. We actively seek out opportunities to help make life better for the less fortunate or disadvantaged.
