  • Manufacturing Process -
How we make Ammonium Polyphosphate 10-34-0

Ammonium polyphosphate is made by reacting “wet process” superphosphoric acid (super acid) and anhydrous ammonia under controlled conditions. The process is know as the TVA tee reactor process. When the ammonia, a strong base, mixes with the super acid the resulting exothermic reaction produces a large amount of heat. This heat is necessary to produce the high “poly” content and ensures good product shelf life characteristics.

    Benefits

    • excellent carrier for micronutrients due to sequestering characteristics of the polyphosphate
    • blend uniformity
    • application accuracy
    • ease of storage, handling, transport and application
    • application flexibility; broadcast, band, seed place or foliar
    • low salt-out temperature
