Application deadlines: Applications must be received by November 15 each year. The committee's decision will be announced by December 31. Successful applicants will be notified and posted on our website at that time.

A disaster must be declared by government to qualify for emergency assistance. Requests for emergency assistance will be considered throughout the year to ensure timely delivery of funds.
Requests may be made directly by contacting the Manager, Public Relations at (403) 225-7000. In urgent situations, a written application may not be required.

All applicants must complete our Online Application Form to be considered for Agrium funding. Information materials sent in place of this form will not be accepted.
Each application is reviewed on its individual merit for clarity, completeness and need. All applications are considered and decisions are based on the following criteria:
- Reputation and management of charity.
- Alignment with and support of Agrium’s areas of community focus.
- Benefit to communities in which Agrium has operations.
- Participation of Agrium representatives.
- Public relations opportunities for Agrium.
- Demonstration of effective fund management by the charity.

2. Review the instructions outlining the questions you will be asked so that you can prepare in advance.
3. Apply online.
Once you have submitted your application you will receive an email confirming that we have received your request. Agrium generally requires 6-8 weeks to process requests.
