With six manufacturing sites in North America, Agrium Advanced Technologies is the market leader in value added, controlled release fertilizer technology servicing the turf, horticulture, agriculture, consumer, and related markets.  We lead these segments through marketing innovative, value added growth solutions with leading brands for the markets we serve.  Agrium Advanced Technologies is looking for a self starter who can manage our high energy brands and compliment our marketing team of professionals.  The following position is located in Sylacauga, Alabama.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Agrium Advanced Technologies Reacted Products Marketing Manager’s scope of responsibility is managing the strategic direction of the product group assigned. 

Specific Responsibilities Include:

• Responsible for continually evaluating product line performance and developing strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Responsible for development, promotion and protection of the brand(s).
• Provides a detailed product forecast to production with a rolling 3 month plan.
• Develops the annual plan and report in detail the monthly margin and volume by product.
• Works with Director of Marketing to set customer alignment expectations.
• Manages the Category Price List, analyzing pricing, trends.
• Develops the annual Marketing Plan and Expense Budget for the Reacted Products.
• Establishes strong working relationship with sales team relevant to product line needs.
• Makes recommendations to sales team regarding changes required to achieve overall company EBITDA contribution while providing valuable product expertise in new opportunities for growth.
• Provides guidance to technology group for new product development and line extensions.
• Establishes working relationship with manufacturing to achieve win-win situations on COGS.

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• University degree in a related discipline
• 6-8 years of related work experience, in-depth knowledge of Reacted Products required
• Extensive business to business background in working with fertilizer formulators
• Experienced background in both turf and horticulture markets
• Solid understanding of the economics of pricing, well versed in excel and databases programs
• Strong communication  with demonstrated presentation skills
• Must have excellent organizational and project management skills
