Associate Sales Representative

Agrium has an opening in our Marketing department for a graduate of a Business, Commerce, Agriculture or MBA program.   At Agrium we believe that on-the-job training continues the technical base achieved at university and focuses on Agrium’s key effectiveness competencies.   Agrium’s 2-3 year Marketing Development Program will allow the successful candidate to gain diverse experience through several assignments and opportunities.

The Associate Sales Representative will provide support services to Sales, Marketing and Distribution in various assigned roles at our Denver Sales Office.  Our development program is designed to include exposure to a number of different areas of Marketing during the training period.   

During the development period, we are committed to providing on-the-job training and close mentorship by experienced Marketing professionals.  During this period, you will learn aspects of Customer Service, Sales, Planning and Analysis, Supply, Truck and Rail Transportation Logistics.

Potentially, after your development program, you will be placed in a functional sales or marketing position where you will continue to gain experience by taking on more responsibility while focusing on your development needs.

Your background should include a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Commerce with an agricultural focus.   A Masters of Business Administration would be an asset.  You are results-oriented with solid communication skills and a proven ability to develop strong relationships.

As part of the Marketing and Sales Department, the Associate Sales Representative will report to the Supervisor, Customer Service.  On-the-job training will be provided during a 2-3 year development period, and close mentorship by experienced Sales and Marketing professionals.  Training in the areas of customer service, truck and rail transportation, planning, analysis and supply will be provided.
