Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Lab Technician in the EH&S Department is accountable for sampling, analysis and reporting of process and environmental data, stewardship to the Laboratory Quality System, maintenance of the routine measurement systems and project support. 

Specific Responsibilities will Include:

• Process and product quality sample analysis
• Data management using LIMS
• Routine instrument operation, maintenance and calibration
• Meeting Quality Control Standards

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• A minimum B.Sc. Chemistry, or Chemical Technologist Diploma or an equivalent which includes:
  o A  sound understanding of good laboratory practices and Quality System principles
  o Working knowledge of basic titrimetric, colourimetric and gravimetric analytical principles. 
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently at simultaneous tasks.
• Strong customer focus
