Training and Development Coordinator

Reporting to the Human Resources Advisor, the Training and Development Coordinator manages, plans, develops and executes progression, mandatory safety and career development training programs for all employees at Carseland.  While under the general direction of the H.R. Advisor, the position is also directly accountable to the Carseland Management Team for the yearly CNO training objectives.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Ensures the maintenance, assessment and continual development of appropriate core knowledge and skills training programs as well as position programs for all employees (mandatory, progression, specialist, career).
• Align yearly training and development objectives with employee needs and the strategic business goals of the organization.
• Manage a system for collecting, maintaining and reporting training data for all employees and contractors.
• Establish a working relationship with corporate organization development and lead corporate training and development initiatives for the site.
• Evaluate training material and vendor sources.
• Coordinate and oversee the onsite New Hire Orientation
• Subject Matter Expert for the Operator Step Out positions
• Liaises with all CNO Training Representatives

Qualifications of the position include:

• Proven leadership ability including strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, coaching and team building skills
• Competent in planning and developing site training programs and systems.
• Understanding and working knowledge of the CNO progression and specialist programs. 
• Proven proficiency in written and verbal communication with a strong background in a variety of computer software programs is essential.
• Supervisory experience preferred
