Process Control Applications Engineer

Reporting to the Process Engineering Supervisor in the Technical Services Group, you will provide process control technical leadership and support for the operation and maintenance of the Carseland production facility.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Working in a team environment with a cross-functional group to identify and solve day-to-day process control and process control related problems.
• Identifying, developing, and implementing regulatory and advanced control applications to ensure capacity utilization, efficiency, and cost effective operation. 
• Designing, implementing and managing process control related projects.
• Providing process control related training to Operations and Technical personnel.
• Providing leadership and mentorship to the members of the Process Control Group.

Qualifications of the position include:

• University degree in Engineering with 5 plus years of experience in process control.
• Proven ability to perform as a sole contributor and to lead teams of people.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills with DCS and MS Office.
• Eligibility for registration with APEGGA.
• Experience with Foxboro I/A is an asset.

Preference will be given to those with petrochemical or petroleum refining experience. Familiarity with fertilizer production is an asset.
