Mill Operations Technician

 

As a member of the Kapuskasing Phosphate Operation team, you will take part in all aspects of the mill operation including crushing, grinding, reagent batching, de-sliming, high gradient magnetic separation, filtration, auxiliary equipment control and product drying. Additional plant operations include panel operation start-up and shutdown scenarios, as well as railcar loading and switching.

 

As a successful Mill Operations Technician candidate, you possess a minimum of a high school diploma. Preference will be given to those with a relevant two-year technology diploma or Journeyman Trade certificate, coupled with a minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in a mine setting that includes shift work.

 

The position requires that you possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude toward safety, exceptional decision-making and problem solving abilities. You will also be expected to assist and/or work on jobs outside of the designated trade and work on a shift schedule, which includes day and night shifts.
