The Marketing Manager will provide marketing support to the Purchase for Resale business unit and will report to the Director, Purchase for Resale
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of annual sales plan for PFR business unit to include price and margin forecasts
- Leads sales effort, in conjunction with overall wholesales sales strategy, to execute the PFR sales plan
- Develops and implements marketing/sales programs to achieve budgeted revenue and margin goals
- Monitors competitive market pricing and maintains appropriate pricing to maximize gross margins
- Communicates PFR pricing and programs to wholesales sales force
- Works closely with Director, PFR and Product Supervisor PFR to develop appropriate sourcing strategy to accomplish revenue, volume, and margin goals
- Develops sales plans to maximize utilization of warehouse and terminal assets
- Provides market analysis for position risk management
- Monitors sales performance against plan/forecast and provides revised forecasts for product sourcing
- Communicates closely with Product Directors to insure smooth integration of production sales strategies and PFR sales strategies
- Develops specific strategies and tactics to grow the PFR business year over year
- Provides market guidance to Rainbow sales force
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, business or agriculture major
- Minimum 5 years industry or related experience
- Basic understanding of commodities business, emphasis on agricultural commodities
- Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities
- Analytical skills, ability to evaluate marketing opportunities from a strategic and ROI view
- Creativity to develop unique competitive programs for competitive advantage
- Planning skills, ability to create, provision, and execute.
