Reporting to the Manager, the Operating Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production during their shift. 

Specific responsibilities will include:

 

• Monitoring/operating equipment and associated systems within standard operating conditions and limits

 

Qualifications of the position include:

 

• High School Diploma with the requirements to challenge the 3^rd class Boilers Branch Certificate.
• Minimum of 4^th Class Boiler’s Branch certificate with a minimum of two years experience or graduation from a technical power engineering program.
• Must be motivated and able to work effectively in a self-managed team environment, exhibit strong decision making and problem solving skills, and have sound written and verbal communication skills
• The organization is highly participative and requires excellent interpersonal skills for success in this environment
