Reporting to the Phosphate Metals Supervisor, the Utility Labourer position is best suited to a skilled individual without a trade ticket who can work with or independent of our Agrium trades people. Their tasks are dependant on unit priorities and manpower availabilities.

Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

• Work on surface water run off ponds, winterizing, cleaning and preparing for use.
• Work on cooling towers, cleaning water boxes, installing/removing diffusers, cleaning basins
• Clean vessel internals and assist with annual inspections, including blinds and safety valve removal.
• Supplement other trade groups  (mostly millwright and pipe fitter/welders) to complete daily, scheduled and unscheduled work
• Deliver chemicals to operating units
• Change out Resins, Filters, Air Seals, Carbon and Socks
• Provide man watch services
• Supervise Contractors

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• Preference will be given to candidates with a Grade 12 High School Diploma; however, applicants who do not possess a Grade 12 High School Diploma and have numerous years of industrial experience will be considered
• These positions are not part of the maintenance progression system.
