Field Mechanical Maintenance Foreman

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Superintendent the Field Maintenance Foreman will help supervise and provide leadership to a crew of mechanics and welders.  The Field Maintenance Crew is responsible for maintaining the mainline conveyor system, production, development and rehab miners and the auxiliary equipment.  The foreman is responsible to ensure this maintenance is completed in a safe and efficient manner.

In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess either a Mechanical Engineering degree combined with six to eight years of experience or a Journeyman Mechanic ticket combined with ten to fifteen years of industrial experience. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, planning and problem solving skills as well as the ability to handle a large and varied workload. Applicants should have experience in mining, as well as supervisory experience in a unionized environment with excellent safety skills and practices.  A working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft word and excel is considered an asset.
