Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations – Plant Maintenance in our Calgary office, we are looking for an intermediate to senior SAP Technical Analyst with strong ABAP skills.  The successful candidate will work within a team of SAP Business, Technical and Systems Analysts focused on the Plant Maintenance Module.

Specific responsibilities will include:

• Develop system solution within the SAP framework of ABAP, BSP, Netweaver;
• Design process solutions that meet Agrium requirements;
• Managing multiple concurrent small size projects or assignments;
• Participate in requirements gathering sessions by assisting the business in defining and documenting system needs.
• Coordinate and perform system testing for application upgrades, new applications or support needs;
• Review requests, assess needs, develop and implement solutions and manage customer expectation;
• Development of detailed reporting specifications;
• Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support of the SAP Plant Maintenance module;
• Understand the impact on integrated systems and address the change management issues;
• Develop and deliver presentations, documentation and training on new or changed procedures;

Qualifications:

• Your background includes 5 plus years of practical experience in SAP systems analysis and a degree in Computer Science, MIS or Computer Engineering or related equivalent;
• Experience with the Plant Maintenance module of SAP;
• You have a track record of successful project experiences;
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team on projects, coupled with a willingness to learn, teach and share information with peers, management and users is a must;
• Strong written and oral communication skills;
• A people oriented support attitude;
• A detailed working knowledge of the SAP development environment, including ABAP and ALV is a requirement
• Knowledge of BSP and Netweaver is an asset.

Occasional travel to Agrium production facilities is a requirement of working in the Information Technology Department.
