Agrium reports first quarter results, expects strong second quarter (2006)

CALGARY, Alberta -- Agrium Inc. (TSX and NYSE: AGU) announced today a net loss for the first quarter of 2006 of $48-million ($0.37 diluted loss per share), down from net earnings of $24-million ($0.18 diluted earnings per share) for the same period in 2005.
