Does Agrium still honor Viridian Inc. share certificates?
Agrium merged with Viridian in 1996; therefore, your Viridian shares are exchangeable for Agrium shares. Please contact Agrium's Transfer Agent and Registrar, CIBC Mellon Trust Company, directly for more complete details about exchanging your Viridian shares.

What is a Transfer Agent and Registrar?
A Transfer Agent and Registrar maintains a record of all outstanding stock certificates and the names of the persons to whom they are registered. When registered stock certificates change hands, the Transfer Agent facilitates the title transfer of stock ownership from the seller's name to the buyer's name. Agrium's Transfer Agent and Registrar is CIBC Mellon Trust Company.

Does Agrium pay a dividend on its shares?
Agrium Common shares have historically provided our Shareholders of Record with dividend yields of 11 cents (U.S.) per year. The dividend was increased to 22.5 cents (U.S.) for shareholders of record as of January 1, 2012. Payment of dividends is dependant upon review and approval by Agrium's Board of Directors on a semi-annual basis.
