CALGARY, Alberta -- Agrium Inc. (TSX and NYSE: AGU) announced today it is hosting an investor conference on June 18, 2007 in New York, NY and a summary of the investor conference the following day, June 19, 2007, in Toronto, ON.   Mike Wilson, Agrium President and CEO will ring The Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on June 18, 2007.

The New York conference will be held at the NYSE. Presentations will include an introduction and overview by Mr. Wilson.  Other key executives and management personnel will discuss Agrium’s Retail, Wholesale and Advanced Technologies businesses.  Rich Pottorff, Chief Economist for the Doane’s agricultural advisory service will provide the luncheon keynote address. Presentations will be followed by an evening reception. Advance registration is required.

In Toronto, a summary of the New York conference will be presented by Mr. Wilson and other key executives.  The meeting will be held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel.  Advance registration is required.
