CALGARY, Alberta -- Agrium Inc. (TSX and NYSE: AGU) announced today that Mr. Richard Gearheard, Senior Vice President, Agrium and President, Retail, will be presenting at the Merrill Lynch Agriculture Chemicals Conference in New York on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 10:15 a.m. ET.

Agrium will host a live audio webcast of the presentation at www.agrium.com, expected to be approximately 30 minutes in length.  The presentation will be archived on Agrium’s website for one year.
