Agrium's plant located in Reese, Michigan manufactures a broad line of granular micronutrients. Reese is located approximately 120 miles (200 kilometers) north of Detroit, allowing it excellent access to it's customer base throughout the Great Lakes, Northeast, Mid-South and all of Canada.

Agrium produces all it’s granular micronutrient products at its Reese Micronutrient Operations facility. The Reese plant, built in 1951, was originally commissioned to produce homogenous granular NPK’s. The production focus moved to micronutrients in the mid 1980’s as the granulated NPK business began to decline.

Agrium supplies granular micronutrients to the agricultural and professional turf management markets. Product granule sizing, which range from very small “greens-grade” sizing to larger export requirements allow Agrium to market in a wide range of industries.

Micronutrients produced at Reese include: Boron, Copper, Iron, Magnesium, Manganese and Zinc as well as crop, customer or geographic specific products.

Agrium is regarded as the premier full line producer of granular micronutrients in North America. Agrium’s Ultra Yield Micronutrient line and additionally manufactured products are positioned as highly water-soluble, low in non-nutritive metals, uniformly granulated and supported by a qualified agronomic and sales staff.

Impact on Local Economy

The Reese Micronutreint Operations employs on the average 30 individuals. With its payroll, local purchases and taxes the facility contributes approximately $3.0 million annually to Blumfield Township and the surrounding communities.
