Our Philanthropic Support
Agrium committed to increase its philanthropic support by 5%. Agrium continues to have a presence in the Alberta communities of Calgary, Carseland, Fort Saskatchewan, Redwater and Joffre.

Agrium collectively gave a total of $47,115.14 to youth organizations and activities in these communities in 2004. Youth represented 43% of the total budget used to support four areas of philanthropic giving – Civic/Arts & Culture, environment, Health & Wellness and Youth. In addition, Agrium’s Global Community Investment Program & Corporate Sponsorships contributed $167,034 to support Alberta’s children and youth for a 2004 total of $214,149. In 2004, Agrium increased its philanthropic support to Alberta youth programs by 19.6%.

2006 – 5% of 2004 total of $214,149 = $10,707.45

Outside of Alberta:
In Canada, Agrium facilities located in Vanscoy, Saskatchewan and Kapuskasing, Ontario and various distribution facilities, including Kamloops B.C., Watson, Saskatchewan and Bloom, Manitoba contributed a 2004 total of $22,810 to youth programs and activities. This represents a sizeable increase of 42% over the 2003 contribution of $9,645.
