Reporting to the Manger, Wholesale Accounting in the Denver office, this position will be responsible for providing ongoing analysis and support for Agrium’s Wholesale Rainbow Division, timely and accurate production, month-end and quarterly accounting results, variance analysis, inventory and balance sheet reconciliations.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Month/Quarter/Year-end accounting closing for all Rainbow Plants
• Forecasting, budgeting and direct plant support for the Rainbow Division
• Support all variance analysis/bridges associated with the Rainbow Division
• Inventory reconciliations for all US terminals, warehouses and transload facilities
• Assist in the accounting and analysis of  Purchase for Resale business
• Assist in the contract reconciliation for special contracts
• Support on-going initiatives and special projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of related experience
• Enrollment in a Professional accounting designation a definite asset
• General knowledge of  GAAP
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products with extensive knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of SAP considered an asset
• Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
• High attention to detail
• The ability to work independently and interface with various levels of management in a multi-task, deadline orientated team environment
