Reporting to the General Manager, Redwater & Fort Saskatchewan Nitrogen Operations, the Services Manager is accountable for creating and managing the business direction for the following services departments: Materials Management/Stores, Site Services, Loadout and Central Planning & Scheduling. 

Specific Responsibilities Will Include:

• Directing work within the Services Department; aligning external resources, group objectives and site goals.
• Providing leadership, coaching and mentoring to direct reports and members to continually improve results.
• Serving as a member of the Redwater-Fort Saskatchewan Management Team to manage and set business direction including policies, strategies/objectives, budgeting, and staff development.
• Working to ensure that critical systems and equipment are available to maintain operations.
• Oversee site inventory, the development/maintenance of railroad and loading procedures, specific contractor services, and weekly maintenance schedules.
• Directing and stewarding to the overall Services budget to provide required services at a level competitive to external service suppliers.
• Manage and sponsor site activities including tours, open house, and team building activities.
• Lead yearly assessments, audits and updates of the EMS. 
• Facilitating skill upgrading, career development and replacement planning for members of the Services Department.

Qualifications of the Position Include:

• A University degree in engineering, business, or science with 10-15 years of progressively responsible industry related experience.
• Advanced problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to form and lead teams, delegate work and motivate direct reports.
• Overall knowledge of the fertilizer industry in order to evaluate and implement best practices.
• Experience developing, analyzing and coordinating financial budgets and information.
• A broad range of experience and skills in the areas of operations, engineering, materials management, project execution and maintenance is preferred.
