Manufacturing Process - How we make Crystalline Ammonium Sulphate (NH4)2 SO4
Crystalline ammonium sulphate is manufactured in a neutralizer-crystallizer unit. This process involves the neutralization of sulphuric acid with ammonia. The resultant slurry is evaporated to a crystal formation. Crystal size is controlled by flow rate and pH of the slurry. Crystals are separated from the slurry by centrifuges and dried to 0.2% water in rotary driers. Dry crystals are screened into the grades designed to meet customers' needs for direct application or blending.
